NEW Winnebago Council Red Flannel Award (four levels)
LNT Winter Camper Award Scouts must complete the Outdoor Ethics Award (to be earned before the campout)
Zero Hero Award Scouts must earn Outdoor Ethics Action Award (to be earned before the camp out)
The Red Flannel Awards are designed to award Scouts and Scouters for camping in varying winter conditions. There are four awards in total: First Red Flannel Award, Polar Camper Award, LNT Winter Camper Award, and the Zero Hero Award! Each award must be earned in succession.
Units can take advantage of the winter conditions at Polar Bear, Klondike and District level winter events as well as plan their own winter campouts!
Completed applications should be turned into the Winnebago Council Service Center. The Council has patches for sale for $1.50 per patch. Scout Shops do not carry these patches as this is a Council Award. Council Awards will not reflect on a Scout’s record; however, Scouts can wear their Red Flannel patches on their uniform!
