Fall is here, Winter is fast approaching, Spring is a dream and before you know it, Summer will be here. With summer comes the chance to go to Summer Camp. We are working hard to get things organized in preparation for a fantastic year. For Boy Scouts we will be doing old traditions like Merit Badges, Trail to Eagle and camp fires, returning traditions like COPE and Paintball and new traditions like Mountain boarding and others. The fall edition of the Boy Scout Leaders Guide has gone out with the dates, cost of camp, camp site registration forms. Further information will be coming out as it develops.
For the Cub Scouts, you too will be doing the traditional activities of pedal cars, horses, the pool, BB’s and archery, and new ones, Leave No Trace, a nature hike, and many more. The theme for Cub Scouts this summer will be “The Wild West”. The Leaders Guide for Cub Scouts will be out at November round table. It will include the dates, cost and general information. Further details will come out when they are finalized.
The staff and I are very excited to spend the summer with all of you and to share this experience so get your camp sites chosen, registration forms turned in and let the fun begin.

If you are interested in working at camp this summer or being a CIT, please fill out the necessary paperwork and return it to the Council Office. You can find either of these forms on the Council website at http://legacy.winnebagobsa.org/Camping/Camp-Staff, on the left side click on Camping/Outdoor Pgm, then click look under Summer Camping Programs, click on camp staff and choose the appropriate form.
