Troop 2 celebrated 80 years of being a continuously chartered organization. A history of the troop was compiled and their past and present charter organizations, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Whittier School PTA, Zion Lutheran Church, and Westminster Presbyterian Church were recognized for the contribution to their Troop.
All past Eagle Scouts, members, and Scouters were invited to join in their celebration on September 21, 2013. The evening culminated in a Court of Honor for their present boys and a group photo of all past and present members who were present. A new Eagle Scout plaque was revealed for the Troop. Mark Kennedy, their current Chartered Organization Representative, a former Scoutmaster, and former youth in Troop 2 shared his Boy Scout uniform with them as well.
