Re: Lakeland District MBC Update

Each year, we look forward to Scouts and Scouters joining us for a day of learning and advancement at the Lakeland District Merit Badge College. We received word this afternoon that NIACC will be closing the Mason City campus due to the growing concerns around COVID-19. With the closing of NIACC, our venue for this event has been lost and we have no alternative options with such short notice that can handle such a large group. The health and safety of all our members, volunteers, and employees is top priority. Therefore, we have no option other than cancel/postpone the 2020 Lakeland District Merit Badge College scheduled for this Saturday (March 14, 2020).
We are currently exploring alternative options to reschedule the Lakeland District Merit Badge College yet this year. Please continue to check the Winnebago Council website and social media channels for updates on a rescheduled event. At this time, we will not be offering refunds while we work to reschedule. In the event we are unable to, we will offer full refunds to all registered contingents.
