In-Person Scouting
Units can now once again begin to meet in-person. Local health department guidelines, and guidelines from your Chartering Organization must be followed. When in person Scouting happens, leaders are encouraged to follow the guidelines to resuming in-person meetings. See the attached guidelines below.
A “Group” of 50-youth and adults or less can meet, travel and camp together. A group cannot mingle with other groups/Troops/Packs as per Center for Disease Control Guidelines. Care should be taken to sanitize common areas and surfaces like bathrooms, picnic tables, etc. Do not take for granted these items were sanitized before your unit arrived at the camping location.
Scouts can travel in the same vehicle together without wearing masks. Unless each Scout is going to be in a separate tent, those Scouts who ride in a vehicle together should also tent together. Do not take for granted these items were sanitized before your unit arrived in camp.
Ingawanis Adventure Base
Ingawanis Adventure Base will remain closed to unit, family and public camping and rentals. As we progress through the re-opening process, the Winnebago Council Executive Board will reassess the situation and re-open Ingawanis as soon as it is safe to do so.
