Bighorn Mountain TRAIL Boss is a high adventure based training course. The course will be held in Wyoming’s Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. Bighorn Mountain TRAIL Boss participants will learn the principles of good leadership while they participate in high adventure activities including:
- Backpacking in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming; part of the million-acre Bighorn National Forest.
- Leave No Trace Camping with all participants coming away with Leave No Trace training and a LNT Trainer Certification.
- Wilderness Orienteering and Cooking.
- Scouts will have the opportunity to work on the Backpacking merit badge (including Reqt.11) and any other merit badge suited for a high adventure trek.
- Bighorn Mountain High Adventure will provide the opportunity to work on trails in the Bighorn National Forest, a conservation service project with support provided by the US Forest Service. All participants will come away with TRAIL Boss training and TRAIL Boss Certification
- We'll camp on the way out and back, including a stop at Devils Tower on the way home.
