The Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting is Pleased to Announce Their New Website
The Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting is pleased to announce that they have created a webpage located at http://www.arch.pvt.k12.ia.us//CatholicScouting/. The committee’s mission is to utilize and ensure the constructive use of the program of the Boy Scouts of America as a viable form of youth ministry with Catholic youth of the Archdiocese. Recently, the committee had been discussing different ways to communicate with Catholic scouts and their parents and decided placing a Catholic Scouting page on the Archdiocese of Dubuque site would be the best way to reach as many people as possible.
The website provides information about the various Catholic religious awards available to Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and adult Scouters. Requirements and procedures for the different awards are noted as well as directions for purchasing the medals after the awards are completed. The site also contains a calendar of upcoming events as well as contact information for the Archdiocesan Catholic Committee and the council chairs. Check it out!
