Birdies by Eagles 24 Hour Golf Marathon

We challenged Eagle Scouts Nick Boswell and Tony Thompson to play golf for 24 hours, non-stop. Like any good Scout, they are game for the adventure!

The pair of Eagles will tee off at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23rd, at Irv Warren Memorial Golf Course in Waterloo, and play non-stop through the night with the aid of glow equipment. We are recruiting local celebrities, Eagles Scouts, and other business leaders from the community to help them along the way. They will be using a best-ball format.

Funds for this event will be raised on a “by-birdie” basis through our website at www.birdiesbyeagles.org. This website will include a place for people to pledge a specific dollar amount per birdie, biographies of players, a list of celebrity golfers, and a live feed throughout the night consisting of status updates, pictures, video, and of course a live birdie update.

Throughout the 24 hour period, we have a mix of media including television and radio, both live and recorded broadcasts.

Nick and Tony will finish their last round (slightly less than well-rested) with the rest of the players in our annual Timeless Values Golf Tournament, finally ending their adventure at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24th.
