Our Theme is “HEROES” and we will be celebrating those people in our communities that help us…police, sheriff/deputies, EMT, First Responders, medical professionals, firefighters, military and the like. Stations will be (1) A rescue derby race (stop and do, then go,) with the peddle cars. (2) The boys will decorate sling bags at crafts and during (3) scout-craft/nature they will learn about the ten essentials to pack for a hike AND pack them into their bags. Then they will take a hike with there new bags and learn about hiking safety and “What to do when I’m lost”. (4) The game will be “Capture the Flag”. We will have firing practice at (5) bb’s and (6)archery. Horses at IAB will run opposite of Craft (set-up nearby) with 1/2 the group doing one and then switching.

This year, staff will receive camp staff shirts, a simple lunch, snacks and an event patch and we are asking them to donate $5 to cover those costs. If that is not possible, please sign-up and let us know and we will find a “staffer-ship” to cover it. We are asking staff to participate in the closing campfire program “staff song/skit” AND dress-up in a HEROES uniform or costume for that segment.

Scouters…please join our staff for one or more days this summer! There is just something special about CAMP. Come be apart of it.

If you can STAFF a day please reply with the date(s) you are signing up for and any special preference of assignment such as Shooting sports or Health Officer.
