District Award Nominations Sought-Do you have a volunteer Scouter that needs a little extra “thank you”? Has someone gone “above and beyond” to help your pack or troop succeed? Then make sure you nominate them for one of the awards that your district will recognize Scouters with at their annual recognition event. The highlight awards at the district level are the District Awards of Merit for contributions to Scouting. There are additional awards depending on your district. Check your roundtable materials or contact your district executive to get a nomination form.
Plan to attend your district’s volunteer recognition event. This is a fun, social event where we get to celebrate all of the contributions of our fellow Scouters throughout the past year and honor those who did a little extra to make Scouting better for our youth.

Wabuha-Sunday, March 30th, First Christian Church, Cedar Falls.

Camping Promotions-We’d like to have someone come and speak with your unit’s families about attending camp this summer. We’ve got an exciting schedule of camping options for this summer at Ingawanis Adventure Base and we want to make sure everyone knows about them. There’s something for everyone. Even if you’re not planning on camping at Ingawanis, we’d like to come and help pump everyone up about how important attending camp is. This is the highlight event of the Scouting calendar and is the promise that we make at recruitment time. It is a prime opportunity for your Scouts to complete many of their requirements that they can’t at any other time of the year. Please contact your Order of the Arrow Chapter Chief or District Executive to schedule a presentation.
Spring Product Sale Kick-off at February Roundtables-All units should plan on having someone attend your district’s February Roundtable to learn about the Spring Product Sale being offered by the Winnebago Council. This sale is designed to help get all of our Scouts to camp by eliminating any financial constraints and to help units add to their unit’s accounts. Any Scout that may not have reached their camp goal through the Fall Popcorn Sale is encouraged to participate. This is a simple product with a high rate of return, come see the secret unveiled. The more units that participate, the higher the return for everyone else.
