What: Cedar Valley Winterfest

The public is invited to attend Cedar Valley Winterfest! The free event is hosted by Impact Outdoors, a local conservation organization who’s fundraising event proceeds are used for mission related projects to aid in conservation efforts in our in the Cedar Valley. The City of Cedar Falls and Cedar Valley Blue Zones are sponsors.
The purpose of the event is to promote outdoor recreation in the Cedar Valley to residents and showcase local resources to those outside the Cedar Valley.
Demonstrations and Activities will include: Ice Fishing Derby hosted by the Walleye Club, Snow Shoeing by Hartman Reserve, Cross Country Skiing by Crawdaddy’s, Ice Skating, give away items for kids 10 and under and others to be announced.
Snow shoes and cross country skis will be provided. Ice skaters should bring their own equipment.
There will also be a hospitality tent with coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks. All activities and refreshments will be free of charge. Donations will be accepted.
The event will take place on the south side of Big Woods Lake which can be accessed by following 1st Street, Cedar Falls, across the bridge. Signage will be in place. A map and directions will be posted on www.facebook.com/ImpactOutdoors.
