Camporall “Jamboree Style”– July Update

BSA Fieldbook Author, Robert Birkby, to Visit Ingwanis Adventure Base on July 24th, 2014
Robert Birkby, the author of the Boy Scout Fieldbook wil be riding in RAGBRAI this summer and is scheduled to visit and stay overnight at Ingawanis Adventure Base on Thursday, July 24th. He will be visiting with the Scoutmasters at the steak fry and speaking with the campers that evening.
River Valley Selected as New District Name
Unit and district leadership in the former Wabuha and Sun Rivers districts were asked to select a new district name. Six names were presented by the nae committee to the districts’ leaders and River Valley was the winning selection. The districts will officially merge operations into the River Valley beginning on July 1st.

Winnebago Council Boy Scouts Receive Charter to Operate 2014-2015
The Winnebago Council Boy Scouts of America received their local council charter for the furtherance and supervision of the Scouting program for boys and young men and women within the 17 counties they serve. This charter is good through June 30, 2015.
