The Mason City Scout Shop will open again on Monday, August 25th. Hours will be Monday and Wednesday from 11-6, Thursday 3-7, and 2nd and 3rd Saturday of the month from 10-1.

A Job Well Done by Heartland Vineyard Church Group Cleaning Up Council Service Center
A group of youth and one adult from all over the country (and even one who lives in China!) are spending their summer in the Cedar Valley for a “Summer of Service”. One of their stops was to the Winnebago Council Service Center to help clean things up.
Family Night to Include Bike Rodeo, Movie in the Park, and More in Elma!
Plans are underway for a “Family Fun” night in Elma on Friday, August 8th. Rain date will be August 15th. The event will kick off with a Bike Rodeo Safety Education event for kids and will be followed up with a “Family Bike, Walk, Run Parade” along Elma’s bike trail and then conclude the the movie, “Goonies” in the park.

BSA Fieldbook Author, Robert Birkby, to Visit Ingwanis Adventure Base on July 24th, 2014
Robert Birkby, the author of the Boy Scout Fieldbook wil be riding in RAGBRAI this summer and is scheduled to visit and stay overnight at Ingawanis Adventure Base on Thursday, July 24th. He will be visiting with the Scoutmasters at the steak fry and speaking with the campers that evening.
