Winnebago Council Boy Scouts Receive Charter to Operate 2014-2015
The Winnebago Council Boy Scouts of America received their local council charter for the furtherance and supervision of the Scouting program for boys and young men and women within the 17 counties they serve. This charter is good through June 30, 2015.
Community Safety Day 2014– An Event for the Whole Family
Free grill out, helicopter landing at 10 a.m., Red Cross blood drive, and a ton of organizations from the community! Held by Kaplan University- will occur rain or shine.

Mason City Scout Shop to Close for the Summer
The last day the Mason City Scout Shop will be open will be Wednesday, May 21st and they will reopen on Monday, August 25th.
Summer Camp Help Still Needed!!
We still have some key positions we need to fill at summer camp! A Shooting Sports Director (must be 21) and able to go to camp school if not trained, a Health Officer (must be 18, have CPR and First Aid), Camp Clerk for June, and kitchen help for both camp times and a Trading Post Assistant. Sun Rivers and Wabuha Districts to merge July 1. The Sun Rivers and Wabuha District leadership has decided to merge the two districts effective July 1st. There is a committee formed to make a recommendation on a new district name that will be presented for a vote at the May 8th Roundtable.
