Cub Scout Jordan Heffelmeier from Pack 4205 out of Hampton, Iowa, sold over $7,000 worth of popcorn in 2013!! Way to go Jordan!!

Scout Night with the Iowa Wild in January
Scout Night with the Iowa Wild will be a day hockey game on Saturday, January 18th, at the Wells Fargo Arena; the puck drops at 12:35 p.m. Tickets are $13 and include a patch and a hat. The first 5,000 through the door will get thunderstix. Registration due January 10th!

14 Webelos Earn Their Aquatic Badge in Mason City
14 Webelos earned their aquatic badge Tuesday, December 17th, 2013, at the YMCA pool in Mason City. They got to jump in with their clothes on and disrobe in the water. We practiced water rescues with the life preserver and pole. They also experimented with life jackets and swam some laps and of course had some fun free time to play.

Holiday Hours 2013
The Waterloo Council Service Center will be closed on December 24th-29th 2013. We’ll have normal hours on Monday December 30th, 2013 and will be open from 8:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 31st 2013. We will be closed on January 1st, 2014 and resume normal business hours on January 2nd, 2014.

We have received some sad news to share regarding Scouter Paul Meyerman. Paul has passed away as a result of cancer. He was instrumental in getting the mountain bike program going and served at all levels in the council: council and district committees as well as the Executive Board. Pack 4034 Has it’s 4th Annual Running of the Cub-apolis 400
5 groups (pit crews) of 7 kids race in the Cub-apolis 400 from Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock in November 2013. Cardboard cars race around the gym 4 times. 1st lap: wash windows (kids had goggles on and they sprayed them with water and wipe it with a towel). 2nd lap fuel: drink a juice box. 3rd lap change tires…..
