These Scouts then raced again for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall. There was a short intermission and everyone got to judge which car they thought was the best design.
Awards were presented for People’s choice, Wyatt Medlin, Leader’s Coice, Bryce Marzen, and Lion’s Club choice, Adam Wyborny.
A special Green Award was presented to Dawson McEichen for the most fuel efficient car.
Cars were re-lubed and Den winners raced again. Grand Prize: Josh Pearson, 2nd Gavin Reicks, and 3rd Carter Hermann.
The Scouts were lined up and each Scout got a goodie bag, a car cookie, and a patch. Leaders and pinewood derby committee were then lined up and each received a patch and a cookie.
Every boy that wore their uniform was put in a drawing for a gift certificate. Zack Ott was the name that came out of the hat.
Open class, which is open to everyone who wants to race a car, was then run. There are no set rules for weight or size. It just has to be able to go down the track.
