River Valley Robotics Team Forming

Boy Scouts in the River Valley District are invited to participate in the FTC Robotics Team “Benny and the Jets”. This is the third year that the district has hosted a robotics team that participates in competitions throughout the state. The team is one of the few non-school-based teams that competes in the Iowa FTC program. Participants help design the robot, program, build, and participate in the competitions. The engineering process is the taught throughout with the assistance of our three mentor engineers from John Deere. Scouts in 7^th grade and higher that are interested should plan to meet at the Scout Service Center in Waterloo on Sunday, September 7^th from 2-4 pm. There is no cost to participate and Scouts will be able to earn their Robotics merit badge.
