Robotics Team to Compete on Saturday February 2nd

Good luck to our Winnebago Council FIRST Tech Team (FTC), Benny and the Jets, who will be competing at the Quad Cities Qualifier tomorrow in Bettendorf!

Team Benny and the Jets is a Rookie Team made up of 4 boys from Waterloo and Waverly. Matt Kangas is a 10th grade student at Waverly-Shell Rock High School. Matt brings three years of FLL (FIRST Lego League) experience to FTC. Cole Troester is a 9th grade student from Waterloo West High School. Cole’s previous experience with robotics includes a summer workshop at UNI on mini Sumo robots. Zane Slack is a 7th grade student at Hoover Middle School in Waterloo. Zane’s experience with robotics involves four years of FLL. Sam Wright is a 7th grade student at Hoover Middle School in Waterloo. Sam brings 4 years of FLL experience to this competition and is excited to move up to FTC.
