Scouting for Food Bags to Drop in October!

It’s that time of year again– Scouting for Food is just around the corner! Your Pack or Troop can help raise food for the food banks in the area at a crucial time of year for a lot of people– with winter coming up and the holidays just around the corner, there are many in need!

Bags are being delivered to each of the Roundtables OR you can swing by the Council Office to pick them up. If neither of these options are convenient for you, but you would still like to participate, please contact your District Executive to make arrangements.

Bags are to be dropped off on (or around) Saturday, October 13th. Pick up will be the following Saturday, October 20th. We will have an unlocked food truck available in the parking lot of the Winnebago Council Service Center Friday afternoon, the 19th, through 8:30 a.m. Monday, the 22nd.

If you’re not able to make it to the Council Office, please feel free to drop food off at your local food bank. For tracking purposes (so we can generate a grand total of the amount of food raised), please email or phone Whitney Jackley the name of the food bank you took your collection of food (or better yet the amount of pounds of food your unit contributed) to– [email protected] of 319-234-2867.
