Greetings fellow Scouters:
I am deeply saddened to report the unexpected passing of one of our dearest dedicated and most active Scouters. We learned that Steve Schwake passed away from a heart attack yesterday morning. Steve was actively serving as the Council Properties Committee Chairman. Steve was also active in OA and Sun Rivers District activities. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be 10:30 Tuesday April 22 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel, Eagle Center, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Home in Waterloo. There will be a 7 p.m. rosary. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the family.
