WELCOME to the Winnebago Council’s NEW Website!
The first step you will want to take is to create a MyCouncil account; just click “Join” in the upper right hand corner of any page you happen to be on. Most importantly, this will allow you to register for the activities, camps, trainings, campsites, and other events online. It will also allow you to do a number of other things including but not limited to:
- Join and view unit home pages with unit calendar, news and headlines, group email tool, a place to store files and share with unit members, security features, and editable home page content.
- The ability to manage activities/events/trainings from the website (generate lists of attendees and their specific event information all accessible from the comfort of your own home).
- Receive the council’s e-newsletter and district newsletters (make sure you click the box when creating your MyCouncil account!)
Some more helpful hints:
- If you’re a unit leader, please use the same email address that the council has in our system– this is VERY important!! This will ensure that you have access to the administrative privileges to your unit pages!!
- Camp Information- If you are looking for camp documents, please go to the calendar, click on the respective camp you are looking for, and you should be able to find all of the documents under the “resource” tab.
- News and Events- This website is a bit different in that it basically operates as a blog. On the home page you will see news stories (things that would usually be put on our Council Blog). NOT ALL INFORMATION WILL APPEAR ON THE HOME PAGE! Please utilize the “Council News” tab on the left hand side of the page to see everything that is available. In order to find upcoming events, there are a few different ways to go about it:
- On the right hand side of the page, you are able to see what the Council Calendar looks like for the next 30 days.
- You can also go directly to the Council Calendar to view month by month.
- You can click “Events & Activities” on the left hand side of the home page to view short articles about events with the option to view extra details. Here, you will be able to access the “new” events that have been posted.
As you look through the new website, you may find that there are some areas that are not complete, or are missing some information. Please be patient as we get all content put in.
